Terms of use for Cuolma
Cuolma is governed by Apple’s standard licence and our Terms and Conditions. This page sums up what matters most. Only the wording of those two is binding.
- Consent in the app: On first launch and with every new version of this page that you need to agree to again, Cuolma points you to it and asks for your consent. You can use Cuolma only once you agree. Cuolma remembers the version you agreed to on the device and, if iCloud is on, in your iCloud.
- For private tours only: your own, with friends, including in a club; not commercial (Section 3.2).
- Not a safety device: does not replace an avalanche assessment, no weather, no emergency call, times without a reserve. The decisions in the mountains are yours (Section 3.2).
- Images and files stay private too: you may not use screenshots, videos or files from Cuolma commercially (Section 3.2).
- Free and as it is: no account, no purchases, no advertising (Section 3.2).
- Data from swisstopo, with the SAC, and from the SLF (Section 3.2); what Cuolma does with data is set out in Cuolma Privacy.
- Availability, liability, law and jurisdiction: Sections 9, 11 and 13.
